At my lunch break, Rebecca quickly pulled me to the side and told me that Michell didnt give me all the details about what was becoming open in her department. She is willing to totally work around my schedule just so she can have me in her department. And what it is is someone is getting fired in flooring and paint but I would be takeing the spot in flooring which is Team Leader in flooring. Michell and Her and even Robert in LP think it would be better to take that one as I can easily leap frog up the corporate ladder. I have til the end of the end of the week to give an answer of what I would perfer so they can tell Jeff the store manager when he returns from vacation (stay as cashier and deal with Christian and deal with him tempting me with head cashier but doing nothing, IRP, or the Team Leader in Flooring). Iam sure I have made my choice.
Talked to Michell to see where they are planning to try and move me seeing as Christian is pretty much not doing anythign to move me up to Head Cashier. Its between Rebecca's Zone 2 departments (departments are Flooring, Kitch Cabnets and Counter Tops, Paint and Home Decor, Lighting and Electrical, and Appliances in Zone 2) or IRP.IRP would be right under Michell and is actually an Admin job. It deals with cycle counts and down stocking and all the stuff but from there I can learn about every deparment and use it as a leap frog to either a deparment team leader or manager or go the Admin route and climb that ladder.Cindi In HR and Robert in LP (Robert because Iam friends with him and hes been a great help) both stopped me and talked to me. Iam in HIGH Demand by all departments. Cindi would perfer to move me to IRP. The great thing about IRP is its a set schedule of 5am - 2pm which I oculd handle Mon-Fri. Sat and Sun off unless needed. I would move up from part time to full time getting ful time benefits and a small increase in pay. So I told them Iam interested in the IRP choice and they just need to talk to Jeff the store manager when he gets back from his vacation next week.
Soon as I got into work Rebecca (zone 2 manager) told me that she was not going to let Christian keep messing around and pulling me back and forth and not doing anything about moving me up to head cashier. She is taking charge and already doing what she can to move me out to one of her zone 2 deparments (wouldnt tell me which one cause she dont want word getting back to certian people (Christian - deparment manager of the cashiers) in the cahsiering that shes going move me out to the department and didnt want word to get back to the few people (one of whome ill be replaceing) that she will be either having to fire or move to a different department.She has been wanting me in one of her departments ever since inventory week and the 3 weeks before that when I helped in preparing for inventory and helped durring inventory week.Zone 2 departments are Flooring, Kitch Cabnets and Counter Tops, Paint and Home Decor, Lighting and Electrical, and Appliances.Julia wants to move to a department and get away from the cashiering so I gave her Rebecca heads up on that to.I asked her when this move was going to take place adn she just said it would be happening soon, and said I would not have all the problems i been having in cashiering and would enjoy the section i wrok in much better.Lest something is being done with me. Ive been trying to move up in the rainks for while now. I have my Certifications in Returns, Customer Service, Head Cashier those three all done with in a week after my 90 day even though Chritian gave me until October to get em' done. And also Certified in Tool department, but they never did anything to move me over there.
